What is the Colorado Xcel Residential Energy Efficiency Rebates Program?

Who qualifies for these rebates?
Homes must receive electric or gas service from Xcel Energy in Colorado. Eligible properties include single-family homes, duplexes, and fourplexes. Rebates apply to existing homes only — no new construction or additions.
Which equipment qualifies?

Do contractors need to register?
Yes, contractors must be registered with Xcel Energy to participate. Sealed helps contractors through registration and qualification so you can get started quickly.
What documentation is required?
- Projects require a program form and invoice.
- For ducted heat pumps, Manual J & S calculations are required.
- Wide-angle installation photos may be needed to verify equipment placement.
Are there deadlines to submit?
Yes. Projects must be invoiced during the program year (2025 or 2026) and submitted by September 30, 2026 to qualify for rebates.
Can homeowners combine this with other incentives?
Yes. Homeowners may also be eligible for federal rebates through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Sealed helps coordinate multiple incentives so customers get the maximum available savings.
